BLM throws its support behind the Hamas terrorists

BLM always pledged support to Palestine for the simple reason that they are "people of color", fighting the white Israeli people. But it seems to be openly supporting Hamas now:

BLM has had no issue with its followers looting stores, engaging in violence, and destroying property. It never once expressed regret for all the destruction its "protests" unleashed. It clearly thinks it is the blacks that are oppressed, and whatever violence its own followers engage in is justified. It similarly seems to see the Hamas terrorism as "self-defense."

BLM always wanted to overthrow "the system". It wanted to abolish prisons (and hence cops and courts), and it wanted to dismantle capitalism. It even published this as part of their mission statement in the beginning. BLM also showed little interest in incremental improvements to "the system", and stayed true to its radical ideas. Even Barack Obama, who is receptive to black grievances, complained that BLM is content to "yell at people" and doesn't come to the table with solutions. Crooked Hillary lashed out at a BLM activist at one of her rallies. Working with political leaders never seemed to be what BLM wanted to do.

Though BLM subsequently erased the more radical verbiage from its mission statement and replaced it with vague platitudes, the underlying attitudes haven't changed: BLM supports black thugs in the vast majority of cases. It rarely comes to the defense of law abiding blacks. It never concerns itself with black-on-black violence, which is strange for an organization that was supposedly created to better black lives. Thug rights for violence and crime seem to matter the most to it. BLM is exactly the sort of organization that will find Hamas appealing. Now it seems to be wishing it's more like Hamas.

Update: BLM Chicago account deleted the Hamas support tweet, acknowledging it went too far. Also, apparently, the account is operated by a single individual and is not representative of the BLM org. Meanwhile, plenty of other leftists openly supported Hamas terrorism, claiming it is not terrorism but "resistance". Some student groups at prestigious universities made public statements blaming Israel for what happened. Some have retracted those statements. AP told its "reporters" not to refer to Hamas goons as "terrorists", but to use "militants" or some such. NYT initially called them terrorists, and later changed that to "gunmen". And Tlaib refused to condemn baby killings by Hamas.
