Gender Dysphoria Part 2
In an earlier post, I wondered why gender dysphoria appears in DSM if the fix for it is always to bring the body in agreement with the dysphoria. That is not how a "mental disease" works. The fix for kleptomania, for example, is not to allow the "patient" to keep stealing stuff to satisfy the irrational urges. Why does a psychotherapist need to work with the "patient" if he or she can never talk the "patient" out of gender dysphoria? Also, note that trans activists do not admit to having a "mental disease", however ill-defined that term is. They actually claim that gender nonconformity is the natural state. Some of them say god is transgender. But they all get looked at by a psychotherapist. I suspected insurance has something to do with this, but did not know it for a fact.

As Ari Groner explains, a "gender dysphoria" diagnosis is required for health insurance companies to pay for the "treatment" (i.e. puberty blockers, hormones, "gender conforming" surgery). So, even though the therapist and the "patient" do not seem to think the "patient" is suffering from any "mental disease", they make that false claim to get the health insurance company to pay. In other words, this is a massive insurance fraud operation. Revelations from the Daily Wire team should get the health insurance companies to wake up and take a closer look at the trans treatment industry. It may not happen, though, because it is not the politically correct thing to do in current climate.
The guidelines from WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) are ridiculous. Imagine if all the kleptomaniacs got together and set up a "Professional Association" that doled out "guidelines" on how to treat kleptomaniacs. Imagine if one of the "guidelines" is to have the therapist "affirm" patient's kleptomania, and never ever try to talk them out of it. Why would any therapist accept these unreasonable restrictions on them? Well, it seems some of them may do it for cash. In the case of gender dysphoria, some therapists may go along with the guidelines under the misguided belief that they are doing the "right thing." These are either dumb libs, or (highly deluded) trans goons themselves. Dumb libs think ends justify means, so they think insurance fraud is fine.
So, the next time a dumb lib asks "if a grown man wants to get his testicles removed, why is it any of our business?", you should tell them it's because he is committing insurance fraud. In effect, all people are paying for these fraudulent treatments. Premiums for all people reflect these unnecessary payments to trans goons. The entire transgender "treatment" industry belongs in a jail cell. The Biden administration is culpable for promoting this fraud too.
